Our World.
Welcome to Dreamtree Day Nursery, a happy and nurturing early years setting in Halesowen, where little imaginations grow and confident learners take root.
Led by Directors Beverley Aston and Jasmine Brettle, with over 20 years combined experience. Dreamtree is supported by a caring team of 14 amazing team members who are excited about early childhood education. Our team is passionate about creating a place where children feel safe, valued, and excited to explore the world around them.
We believe every child grows in their own way and at their own pace. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we offer play-based learning experiences following child voice and adding in our own little sparkle that promote curiosity & wonder. A well thought out environment to help children to foster a sense of independence, and build confidence — all while having plenty of fun along the way.
Strong relationships are at the heart of Dreamtree. We work closely with families to create a warm, home-from-home environment where children, families and our incredible team belong.

Little Moons (0-1yrs) & Little Dreamers (1-2yrs)
Our Little Dreamers is on our top floor, our largest space, this has helped us to create more space for our youngest children to move, explore, and develop freely. Our Little Dreamers room cares for 12 children each day.
Our key benefits:
· More room for physical development and active play.
· Two separate sleep rooms, helping reduce disturbances and support better rest for our little ones.
· A cosy, calm corner for children who need a little extra comfort and quiet time.
· A home-from-home environment that helps children feel safe, loved, and nurtured.
We have an additional member of staff (not included in ratios) upstairs at all times to ensure that children can access the garden and outdoor play area frequently, as we know outdoor experiences are vital for development.
Our Little Dreamers who are walking will make great use of our large outdoor area, while our youngest babies will be exploring the local community & our smaller garden more often on little adventures.
Entrance: The Little Dreamers room will be accessed via the main nursery entrance.
As always, Welcomm, our speech and language assessment tool will continue to be a part of our daily practice. If you’d like more information about Welcomm (recommended for children 18 months+),

Routine.
Care Needs.
At Dreamtree Day Nursery, we understand that care routines are an important part of a child's day and should never feel rushed or routine-led. We take the time to get to know each child's individual needs by working closely with parents and learning about their home routines, preferences, and cues.
Whether it's nappy changing, bottle feeding, hand washing, sleep routines, toileting, or supporting independence, we respond to each child as an individual rather than following a conveyor-belt approach. Our educators carefully observe and respond to children's verbal and non-verbal cues, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and supported throughout their daily care experiences.
We believe these everyday moments are valuable opportunities to build trust, promote wellbeing, encourage independence, and strengthen the nurturing relationships that help children thrive.
Outdoor Play.
At DreamTree Day Nursery, we believe that the outdoors is one of the best places for children to learn, explore and grow. That's why we spend as much time outside as possible, whatever the weather! Rain, sunshine, wind or frost all provide exciting opportunities for children to discover the world around them and develop new skills.
We ask parents to provide weather-appropriate clothing so that children can comfortably enjoy outdoor play in every season. Whether they're splashing in puddles, exploring nature, building, climbing or simply enjoying fresh air, every outdoor experience supports their learning and development.
Our outdoor environment has been thoughtfully designed with age-appropriate areas for all children, ensuring everyone has a safe, stimulating space to explore and play. We spend a minimum of one hour outdoors each morning and 45 minutes each afternoon, with additional outdoor time throughout the day whenever possible.
Learning.
At DreamTree Day Nursery, we believe children learn best through play. Our planning is guided by children's schemas (repeated patterns of learning and exploration), allowing us to follow their interests and support their natural curiosity through child-led experiences.
Our youngest learners enjoy different sensory focuses, providing rich opportunities to explore, discover and develop language in meaningful ways. Each room also has clear learning steps to help children build the skills and confidence they need for a smooth transition into their next room.
While child-led learning is always at the heart of what we do, we carefully weave in adult-led experiences through our sensory focus. By observing, evaluating and responding to each child's interests and progress, we ensure our learning experiences help every child grow, thrive and reach their full potential.

Wonder Nest (2-3yrs)
We’re thrilled to announce our new Wonder Nest room — a dedicated space for our 2–3-year-olds.
The Wonder Nest will be one of the smaller rooms in our nursery, with a maximum of 12 children per day. We’ve intentionally kept numbers low to ensure our wonderful toddlers receive the individual attention they need during this important stage of development.
Our focus in this room will be:
· Encouraging self-expression and confidence.
· Supporting emotional regulation and helping children name and manage their feelings.
· Promoting independence through routines like toileting, handwashing, and dressing.
· Offering freedom to play and explore through their very own free-flow outdoor area.
· Providing a nurturing, calm environment where every toddler’s unique personality can shine.
Entrance: The Wonder Nest will be accessed through the side entrance and main entrance.
This room has a cloakroom, changing and toileting facilities to start the toilet training journey when children feel ready, and the areas are designed to build confidence and independence.
As with all our rooms, Welcomm will continue to support children’s speech and language development.

Care Needs.
At Dreamtree Day Nursery, our preschool children are encouraged to become confident, capable, and independent learners. As they prepare for their next steps, we support them in developing the practical life skills they need for school and beyond.
From managing their own personal care, washing hands, dressing for the weather, serving their own meals and snacks, and taking responsibility for their belongings, children are given meaningful opportunities to do things for themselves. Our educators provide gentle guidance and encouragement, stepping in when needed while allowing children the time and space to build confidence in their own abilities.

Our Outdoor Spaces
We are fortunate to have one large, natural garden space and a smaller, more intimate garden area, both designed to inspire curiosity and play. We encourage children to explore and enjoy the outdoors in all weathers, fostering resilience, creativity, and a deep connection with nature. Through hands-on experiences, we nurture a love for the environment and a respect for the world around them, helping children grow into environmentally aware and adventurous individuals.
